Survey Results ~ What you think about Beforever!

Right after Beforever's release last August, we created a survey that we gave to club members and visitors to this blog to see what they thought. These responses are from a large range of doll lovers, and show the overall trends in the doll world...

I was surprised with how varied the answers were to this question.
Once again, very diverse opinions, although Samantha and Kit were clearly favorites.

Most people were sad to see the best friends dolls go.
Interesting how little attention the books got.
The opinions on Josefina's meet dress are split right down the middle!
The results were close on this one, but Addy's old lunch pail actually won!
Looks like we aren't doing so bad of a job at informing people :)

For the last question, we asked people to share their opinions on Beforever.

We got some great comments!

"I am not a big fan just because they are making HUGE changes on some of my favorite dolls, and they made kit a girly girl and she is supposed to be a tomboy, that made me really mad!"
"I used to not like it, now I love it"
"I think that while older collectors will be disappointed, younger enthusiasts will be happy with the changes."
"I can't believe they did this! So many amazing dolls went poof!"
"I don't like it but American girl is doing a good job of pulling it off."
"It's not horrible but why did they need to change it?"
"Some of the stuff was great, but others looked cheap."
Thank you so much to everyone who gave such great feedback! We just released another Survey on Grace Thomas (^Scroll up a bit^ ) and look forward to you responses!

Until next time,

Fun Doll Sized Finds at Target

Hello everyone!
I went to target today and found some really great doll sized stuff in the dollar section. Here are some of the things I found.
Not for school supplies.
This first item would make an adorable display case for a bakery set up. Those are pretty popular with all the Grace hype, so this little tray would be a great way to organize doll sized pastries.
Another new American Girl thing is the gardening set. It is adorable, and I'd love to make some kind of similar garden display. These lanterns would be perfect for lighting up your garden in the evening.
Money may not grow on trees, but eggs do.
These "Egg Trees" don't make very much sense, but they are really cute and would be fantastic for an easter photoshoot.
This little chalkboard sign would be wonderful for a Grace pastry set up as well. There is a similar item included in her bistro set.
Another trend in the doll world at the moment is doll room set ups. Agoverseasfan does great ones, and lots of other people (MixiePixie7 and Basilmentos come to mind here) have wonderful doll houses. These "Basket Containers" would make perfect laundry baskets for any doll room or house.
These one ct. glasses would be perfect for the carafe in Grace's bistro set.

All of these items were available for $1-3 in the bargain section at target, a great alternative way to make cute set ups without having to foot the American Girl bill.

Until next time,
